Tim Helfrich is a teacher, coach, explorer, musician, and entrepreneur.

Throughout a multifaceted career in education, athletics, and the music and coffee industries, Tim has always been driven to help others flourish, to build awesome teams, and to carve a purpose-based, adventurous path for himself.

LEAPP Coaching was born out of his belief that with a strong foundation, a crisp sense of direction, and trained strength and agility, we can all make meaningful leaps. 

​

As a professional coach, Tim partners with athletes and artists, entrepreneurs and executives, parents and students: any client who is ready to embrace a growth mindset, live a passionate life, and take thoughtful but courageous steps in the direction of their dreams.

Tim lives in North Carolina with his wife, Beth, their five children, and their dog, Ted Lasso. He enjoys cooking family meals, long distance trail running, coffee, playing and listening to music, and scheming up the next big adventure.

He holds a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies (Asian Studies and Creative Writing) from Davidson College and an MA in English Literature from Middlebury College, with additional training in Design Thinking and ICF coaching certification.
